Washington Association for Skilled and Technical Sciences
Skilled and Technical Sciences Section members include instructors representing a variety of trades, including carpentry, masonry, electrical and construction management; automotive technology; heating, ventilation and air conditioning systems; computer-aided drafting and manufacturing; and cosmetology. Together, they influence policy and cooperate with federal and state authorities in promoting high standards and development sound practices across trade and industrial education programs.
The Association for Skilled and Technical Sciences (ASTS) is recognized nationally by education, business, and government as the premier organization representing technical educators in shaping policy and programs to build a skilled global work force.
ASTS empowers educators to be leaders and advocates for skilled and technical sciences education. We accomplish this through a structured program of training, networking, conferences, political action, and recognition activities.
